Net Impact ISB launches Board Fellows program

Net Impact ISB launches the Board Fellows Program which gives the students of ISB an unique opportunity to serve as board member(non-voting) of a Non Profit Organization. A few opportunities that students should look forward to from the engagement:

• Offering a high-impact way for students to serve their communities using their business knowledge

Tribal Health — Health and welfare of the tribal communities
Tribal Health Initiative is a public charitable trust located in the Sittilingi valley in Dharmapuri district, Tamil Nadu, dedicated to working for the health and welfare of the tribal communities in nearby locations. They run a 24 bed hospital, a community health programme, an organic farming initiative and a craft initiative, all predominantly staffed by people from the surrounding villages.

Regional Centre for Development Cooperation – Restoring traditional rights of communities over local natural resources
Regional Centre for Development Cooperation (RCDC) was started in the year 1993 with the mandate to play a definite role in the development sector to empower people for sustainable management of natural resources. The organization believes that local natural resources can take care of most of the development problems faced by the people in which the local communities are considered as the best managers, who have highest stake and owns the treasure of natural resources. RCDC have been enabling the stakeholders in strengthening their inherent spirit and quality of optimal management of available natural resources and helped them walking over hindrances in most accommodative manner.

Right To Walk Foundation
The Foundation has been formed with the primary objective of urging relevant authorities’ in-charge of the administration of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to make adequate provisions in the two cities for the safety of pedestrians. More specifically, the Foundation will work towards urging the authorities to make ample provision for footpaths on each road and provide manned/ signalled pedestrian crossings at various points on every road, depending upon the length of the road in question.
